Speed comes from the ring scanner
For a full-day count, the Bluetooth ring scanner is the fastest option by far — every trigger pull is an intentional scan, with no cooldown. When pairing, pick the device with the strongest signal from the list.
Location first, always
Make "pick location → scan → move → pick next location" your habit. Fixing a wrong location later means editing records one by one in the console.
Don't wait for the countdown
The 9-second review banner is a safety net, not a gate. Scanning the next item sends the previous one immediately — so rapid-fire scanning is already as fast as it gets.
Change quantity inside the window
Need quantity 40? Scan once, tap the banner, type 40. That's much faster than scanning 40 times.
Tame misreads with Barcode formats
If the camera occasionally "reads" a code that doesn't exist:
- Open the drawer → Preferences → Barcode formats.
- Turn off symbologies your products don't use.
- Keep EAN-13 near the top (an upside-down EAN-13 can ghost-read as UPC-A) and no-checksum ITF at the bottom — it's the most prone to phantom reads.
Let drafts upload, but check the badge
The Records tab badge shows pending/failed counts. Glance at it when you finish a section — zero means the server has everything.
Offline is fine, with two exceptions
Scanning, quantity edits, and catalog search all work offline. But you need a connection to create new locations or to edit/delete already-uploaded records. And the app must verify the subscription online before work starts — sign in somewhere with signal before walking into the warehouse basement.
Low-tech fallback
Manual entry (+ button) works for torn labels and items without barcodes. Search the catalog by name if you don't know the code.
